(More customer reviews)I purchased this phone system several months ago.My overall experience has been positive, but with two qualifications. On the plus side, I have had an excellent experience with signal strength and sound quality. Further, it is very convenient being able to locate handsets in areas of the house which are not near phone jacks. On the negative side, the batteries are not good. In the handset which gets the heaviest use (significant use 2-3 days/week, very limited use the rest of the week), after 4 or 5 hours of talking time I have to recharge (unlike the advertised 8 hours). After about three months, the battery in that particular handset gave up the ghost. Having tried Staples, Walmart and Radio Shack, I will add that it is not easy finding a replacement battery in a local store. Second, because I use the system as a home office phone, I like to have the phone ring throughout the house rather than having callers select a particular handset. As a result, if I am on the line and a second call comes in on the same line, it will not ring over to the Voicemail system. This is a very unfortunate flaw in the design which limits the system's usefulness.On the whole, it is good, not great, and it's a lot of money to pay for something that's only good.

(More customer reviews)i originally gave this phone 5 stars, but after the issue i had with the speakerphone i'd reduce it to 4 stars but amazon doesn't seem to let me.

Although some sellers say this phone is Black or Graphite, apparently it comes in only one color, Titanium Blue.Titanium Blue is kind've a dark grey color with a slight bluish cast.

I would prefer that it came in black, but other folks like the blue/grey color.

I wound up returning the phone that i ordered because i didn't like the speakerphone on conference calls.i have AT&T 870 which is over 10 years old and works incredibly well, but it's not a multi-line phone.that speaker phone works very well in conference calls where there's a speaker phone on the other end as well, but this one doesn't.this one seems to have a kind of "half-duplex" mode of operation where i can either speak or hear what other folks are saying, but not both.when there's background noise at the other end, it doesn't work well.in contrast, my old 870 seems to have some kind of variable mute mode where it adjusts the volume at each end incrementally depending no who it thinks is talking more.

i've read the reviews of a lot of the multi-line speaker phones here, and nobody seems very happy with the speaker phones except for the Polycom phones, and even with it there are a number of complaints.i think i'll try one of those next.

other than the speaker phone issue and my personal dislike for the color, it's a very nice phone.if the other feature are more important i'd suggest you buy it.

All in all, as a good 4-linesystem for a small premises, I can wholeheartedly recommend it!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this phone on December 4th, 2002, and immediately had trouble with the "cordless" phone. I charged it for 26 hours before using it and on my first call - during the first 1 1/2 minutes - the battery died. I followed the manual instructions carefully, but continued to experience the same problem. I bought a new battery on the 11th and still had the same problem. I emailed Panasonic on Dec. 13th and received an automated reply, but as of January 8, 2003, no real reply. It's now too late to return the phone, so I'm just going to junk it and buy a similar - non-Panasonic - product.

(More customer reviews)This is the second talking caller id I have used.One drawback is it only announces the caller once.My previous unit (different model/manufacturer) announced twice, however, this one has several features the previous did not have, like setting up a specific message for selected callers.On the whole, I have given 2 as gifts and have suggested to friends who have also purchased for their own use and as gifts.They have been received wonderfully.It is a pleasure to be able to screen your calls from another room!

The sound is not clear and there is a lot of interference at my house and with other phones I do not have that problem. Also the batteries have not lasted. They do not charge anymore and I have tried all the tricks. I have always been happy with Panasonic products but not this one. Judt not good quality.
