This set of two CAT5 Cable Splitters can be used, one at each end of a CAT5e cable, to carry one old fashioned analog telephone signal and one Ethernet signal by the same single CAT5e Cable.Such CAT5e cable splitters are especially useful for carrying Ethernet signal on an existing CAT5e cable in a house or building that was originally laid out for carrying telephone signals. As the result, you can set up the Ethernet LAN quickly and easily without laying out a new set of network cables, saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars from otherwise new cabling costs.The diagram above is a typical application of the CAT5 splitters for carrying both telephone signals and Ethernet signals by the same set of CAT5 cables in a house.The CAT5e splitters we sell are tested to work normally for Ethernet signals at 100Mbps without any noticeable interference from the shared telephone signals. At the same time, the telephone signals are tested crystal clear without any noticeable interference or noise from the shared Ethernet signals.

Even the best plans sometimes leave us needing more capacity. Wired Home Tel/Net line splitters are the perfect way to maximize the signal capacity of your installed network. Only two of the four pairs on a category network cable are used for standard 10/100 Ethernet applications, allowing you to piggy back telephone signals onto the unused pair for a single cable run for both systems; especially useful for expanding existing network runs. Sold in pairs, the Tel/Net line splitters feature two RJ45 ports for system input/output on one side, and a single Cat 5e output/input plug on the other for connecting to a network jack. Two network labeling placards and two sets of system identification inserts are included. Note: Jack 1 is wired according to TIA/EIA-568 A and B standards and should be used for the network connection.
