(More customer reviews)I wanted a corded/cordless phone system, with answering machine and expandability.After researching phones and reading reviews, I decided on the AT&T 6.0 corded/cordless system with two cordless phones; I then added two additional cordless phones.Described in reviews I read before purchasing, I was disappointed that the base unit did not have a blinking light to indicate a message. HOWEVER, when setting up the system, I read that you could program the base unit to beep, signaling a message.This has worked perfectly -- even better than a blinking light, since you don't even have to look at the machine to know you have a message.[You can stop the beeping by pressing the mute button.]I absolutely love this system!!Best features:speaker/hands-free on all units, all buttons clearly marked and intuitive, mute button also stops phone from ringing/beeping, easily programmed/great step-by-step directions, convenient intercom/transfer functions, dial a number from caller ID by adding a "1" and then pressing "send," battery holds charge (out of the recharger) for several days, excellent range, and, finally, I was able to go from five different phones to one standardized system.My only need/wish not met (a minor one) is that there is no clip on the cordless units -- all my old phones had clips, so I was used to clipping it my belt or a pocket and heading to another room or outside. Although I haven't tried it yet, I found an inexpensive clip at Best Buy that can be mounted to the back of the phone. After 3 months, I was so happy with this system that I bought the same one for my elderly in-laws; they also find it easy to see and use, and like the features & standardization (they had three different phones). A great product/value, so far....

(More customer reviews)I am very fussy about headsets for my land line phones and find very few acceptable. I currently have three Plantronics headsets and this is the latest one. All are great, but this is the best so far at less than half the cost of the last one. I have this one on a Vtech phone with the volume on the headset at the lowest level and the volume on the Vtech at the lowest setting and everything is loud and clear for me and for person I am speaking to... on land lines and wireless phones. It is very comfortable to wear unlike the other two Plantronics I own. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED at twice the price.

(More customer reviews)I bought these Panasonic Phones having purchased Panasonic phones before.The two features I love the most are the voice enhancer, which allows you to hear who is calling, and the fact that all the phones work together at the same time means all four of my family members can be on the phone at the same time speaking to our son at college!!The phones hold a good long charge if left off their holders for a couple of days and the sound quality is fantastic!The only minor issue I have is that I wish I could raise the volume even higher to hear our voice messages, which can be played from any of the 4 phones.I also love the fact that once you enter a phone number into the address book, it automatically appears in all 4 phones.Additionally, what's also nice is that you can set each phone to ring at a certain volume, so I can silence my teenager's phone so that the phones will ring in all locations but his.That means he won't be awakened by early morning calls! I highly recommend this product to families with the need for phones in every room.

(More customer reviews)This Panasonic Cordless Phone has many great features.The only down side is battery life and finding a battery replacement.My 1st battery expired within warranty time and Panasonic replaced it, took them about 2 months to get the replacement.Now my 2nd handset battery has expired and a replacement cannot be found.Panasonic will not even take an order for their HHR-P506A battery nor is it available through their retailers.This could be a 5 star item if not for the battery life and replacement.Stay away from this phone until batteries are available.Without the battery this phone is unuseable.

After hours of research, I bought this 2 line Panasonic.I've had it for about one year now, so I can give you areview based upon a good period of time owning it.

Here's the very basic reasonwhy I selected this model:

1- Two lines
2-Expandable
3-5.8 gig frequency so it doesn't interfere with 2.4 gig device in my home.

Here's why it's the best cordless I've ever owned.

1- I could test it out for awhile before adding/investing in addtional handsets.

2- It fits in your hand like a normal phone.Many of the new cordless phones are getting so high tech looking and sleek that they are either hard or uncomfortable to hold.The Panasonic handset is the most comfortable on the market.Ever try cradling a cell phone or too small cordless between you neck and shoulder for a moment while you pick something up from the floor?Not easy, unless of course it's this phone.

3- The part of the phone that touches your ear is designed properly.Many of they newer competitors phones are convex at the earpiece instead of concave.Very uncomfortable...Panasonic...Perfect!!

4-Big LCD display.No need to squint to see this one.

5-Normal sized and properly spaced keypad buttons that are raised.You won't make an accidental dialing mistake with this phone and you won't feel like you need a pen to dial it.

6-You can set the volume of the phone to retain the setting you like.On many of the competitions phones, you may have to adjust the vol. to where you like it, every time you pick it up.

7-Great, very CLEAR sounding speakerphone built into each handset. Very useful when holding for i.e. a customer service dept.

8- Natural sounding on receive side.Good volume and sound reported by people I'm talking to. (Many competitors phones I've tried have low receive and/or transmit volume).On this one, no one has ever asked me, "Are you on the cordless"

9-Very rare that I ever get a broken or choppy signal.It's solid.It even works 100% around my yard/outside.

9-Good battery life/runtime.

10-Loaded with features.Like the fact that if something went wrong or one phone broke, my directory is still in other handset I have if I selected to download them initially to other phones.

11- Durable!!We have dropped this phone from about 3+ feet many times and it has not broken yet.

What needs improvement:

1- Missed call indication is almost useless.To clear it you MUST scroll through Caller ID past the missed call to clear it.Not a big deal...just useless.

2- (On the built in Voicemail)I can't save messages "as new" once I've listended to them.Problem if my wife is not home; then I see the message light blinking, I press it to listen to message.Of course the message turns out to be for my wife.But, now that I've listened to it, the message lamp is extinguished...Wife returns and has no idea there is a message for her.I have to leave her a note telling her to manually listen to "saved messages".

3- No battery backup.This was one feature I liked in some of the older VTEC phones.In a power failure, the battery backup let you continue to use your cordless phones.I don't think Panasonic or any other manufac. has a cordless 2 line with Battery backup.

So if you are looking for a great cordless 2 line... This is the one!!Almost perfect, but a definate against the competition.

American Telecom Expandable Cordless Phone With Base Station Review

(More customer reviews)If you get it for nothing, as I did, or pay a couple of bucks for it, the 150 minutes of free long distance might make it worth getting, but the phone itself is not so hot:

1) When I first tried it there was a lot of hiss on the line. The noise mostly disappears once a connnection is made.

2) The ring tone can be changed, but the volume can't be adjusted. The ringer can, however, be turned off.

3) Every time you push a button it makes a loud beep. This cannot be turned off or adjusted.

4) The phone and base are cheesy, light-weight plastic--it's not going to last long.

5) The battery compartment is poorly designed. There's nowhere for the battery wire to go--you have to really jam it in to get the compartment cover to slide into place.

6) No ringer in the base.

7) The volume for the receiving party is super loud and cannot be adjusted, but this can be an advantage when communicating with the hard of hearing (I mean the aurally handicapped, like my Pop).

(More customer reviews)Since it's a 2line phone I would assume it's aimed at the small biz Home/biz market.Not a good shot, AT&T.You scored "A+" on sound quality on the speakerphone/headset/handset, but your feature set was designed by your consumer division instead of small office/home office person(s).This phone needs to be able to default to the local area code so you could easily dial out of CID memory (without hitting a button 4 times)... there is no true "Speed Dial"... so you can't store phone card info and have your phone do rapid dial for multiple calls.There is no default setup for priority line pickup.The keyboard layout is awkward and the soft keys have up-arrows on them when they can also be a down arrow soft key..... AT&T, if you could combine the features of some of your other two-line desk phones (like the model 972)with the sound quality and long DTMF signal of the buttons on this phone, you'd have a winner.One last note... the remote handset is excellent and would score very high except it cannot be turned off to save battery life or your nap...

(More customer reviews)I would not recommend this phone.I bought it for a small office.If you are talking on line 1 and line 2 rings, the handset beeps in your ear with every ring and interrupts line 1 creating segments of dead air, much like call waiting does.Very annoying in a business setting where the second line can ring multiple times during a business call.When I called vtech to find out what was wrong, I was told nothing was wrong, that was how this phone worked.This is worthless as 2 line phone.Also sound quality is like talking into a tin can.

(More customer reviews)I received the AT&T TL7600 Wireless Headset and promptly registered it to my At&T Dect 6.0 phone system.Great product!!My wife loved the quality of the sound, and especially the "hands free" operation.She also like the "over the head" holder.She found it comfortable & convenient to wear.

My problem was the design of the electronics.Once registered, this headset can not be reset independently from the base it is registered to.My AT&T phone system base failed / died. I was not able to un-register the headset from the "dead" base.I returned the original phone system for a replacement, but now the headset TL7600 was still registered to the defunct system and could not be reset.I could not register it to the new phone base/system. I contacted AT&T techical support, and they could only ship me out a new headset.

If I had bought a AT&T wireless headset #TL7610, I would have been able to reset the headset through the available program buttons mounted on the re-charger base.That would have saved me from returning my original purchased headset.

I now have a new TL7600, replacing the original, and programed to my newest phone system / base.I hope the base of this phone system does not fail, or I will have to go through the exchange process again (provided it happens during the first 30 days of exchange opportunity).If the base of the phone system dies after 30 days... I'm not sure of my options.

Copies could be a little better, but for the price, they are actually pretty darn good. Speed is pretty good too. Maybe the only small problem is the price on replacement ink cartridges ($30.00+), but one should know that going into the purchase of this fax machine. EVERYONE bitches about ink & toner prices, but that's just the way it is. Anyways, 5 stars from me!

(More customer reviews)I would have rated 4 1/2 stars, just for the minor Cons below, but couldn't, so rated the full 5. Can't attest to the interference with a wireless network, because I'm not there yet but....

Pros:
1. Renaming handsets to location, e.g., Bedroom, Cellar, 1st Floor.
2. Can turn main ringer off on base or handset (in the bedroom, for instance), but still use Transfer Call and Intercom features to that hanset. VERY HANDY FOR LARGE OR MULTIFLOOR HOMES. (Ring is also adjustable.)
3. Phone book. Set it up on the base and send to all the handsets.
4. Adds a "1" to long distance numbers from Caller ID just by pushing the */tone key.
5. Listen to messages from any handset.
6. Audible "Message Indicator." Can turn on or off.
7. Lighted keys (on handsets) and displays.
8. Easy to find the instructions for all the features in the manual. (The PDF manual from Uniden has hyperlinks from the Table of Contents and Index.)
9. Can set handset to "Answer" when picked up from charge base. Handy for the "transfer call" feature so there is only one button to push when you pick up. (Otherwise you have to push green button twice if it's a transferred call, not just an Intercom call--kind of clumsy for the technophobes in the house--see Cons.)
10. Range is excellent (just under .1 mile at my house in the country), great for those with large yards.
11. Two or more handsets can be used at one time. You don't have to "Transfer" the call, you can pick up and join the call, just like in the old days. (Some systems don't allow this!)
12. Corded (for power outages) and cordless combination.

Cons (non deal-breakers, in my opinion):
1. Ringers could be louder on "high" setting. If you listen to your stereo on the loud side the phone is difficult to hear.
2. No different ring tones on the base.
3. If you have any technophobes in the house it may be difficult to get them to utilize all the features with you, because of the menus and such. (That is probably more of a personal con than that of the phone!)
4. One or two too many buttons to push to delete a Caller ID number. (Do you really need an "Are you sure?" message for such a simple decision?)
5. Can't delete the Caller ID numbers from all the phones at once. (Although before I got this system that was the case anyway.)
6. Not wall mountable. (Not an issue for me, but I wouldn't let it be a deal-breaker. Why does the corded base HAVE to be on the kitchen wall, for instance.)

I have already recommended this system to friends. Wish I had gotten to my mother before she got the VTech IA5874, which doesn't allow multiple handset use and calls have to be transferred from one handset to the next (plus, no corded base).

(More customer reviews)If you don't want to pay for a separate phone line dedicated to your fax machine, this is an excellent solution.It separates out fax calls from voice calls and routes each type to the appropriate device. All you have to do is plug it into your phone line and them plug the fax machine and telephone into their separate ports in the Comswitch. This item is also nicely priced at $... and is probably tax-deductible if you're using it for business. A cimple and elegant solution.
