(More customer reviews)I just had one tip about this phone.If you only have a one line service, this phone's L2 LED will never turn off.It interprets the lack of line as an off hook condition.Of course this wears down the battery and is distracting to see.
There is a way to work around this, only install two batteries instead of all four.The pair near the back of the phone power the LEDs for line 1 and the two near the front handle line 2.I was surprised this worked but with just the L1 pair of batteries all the features of the phone are ok.You only lose the Line 2 off the hook indicator which a single line service user doesn't use anyway.My guess is that the L1 batteries do double service and power the speed dial numbers as well. NOTE there is no mention of this in either the quick start guide or the manual.
