I was surprised to see that it took batteries.A corded desk phone?It turns out that the phone simply doesn't work at all without the batteries.And a set of 4 new AA batteries lasted only three days before expiring, making the phone worthless.
It really should come with an AC power supply, but I don't understand why they can't run it off the power supplied in the phone line.
