(More customer reviews)If you run asterisk, there is no other choice.This card is truly plug and play.Just don't be an idiot like me and forget to plug in the power to the card :)Thankfully there is a nice error message in dmesg that states, "Are you sure you plugged the power cable in" to remind you.

TDM410 is a half-length PCI 2.2-compliant modular gateway card for connecting analog telephone stations and analog POTS lines through a PC. It supports a combination of up to four station or trunk modules for a total of 4 lines. Using Digium's Asterisk software and standard PC hardware, one can create a telephony environment that includes all of the sophisticated features of a high-end business telephone system. Using an industry-standard bursting, bus-mastering interface chip that is found within millions of PC systems worldwide, and Digium VoiceBus technology, the TDM410 eliminates the requirement for external gateways, with industry-leading performance and price. The trunk and station modules are interchangeable, allowing the creation of any combination of interfaces. The optional hardware echo cancellation module provides 1024 taps (128 milliseconds) of echo cancellation for superior voice quality on both trunk and station interfaces. Scaling of this solution is accomplished by adding additional TDM410 or other Digium analog interface cards. Note: The 12V power connector is required for the operation of FXS modules. It is not required for the operation of FXO modules.

(More customer reviews)I am reasonably technical and run a VOIP PBX for our small business with several different providers, IP Phones and gateways.This seemed like a nice addition where cordless IP phones are needed.I have almost returned this several times because of the UI and contact import issues, however I am keeping it in hope of an updated firmware release.

Pros -
Good voice quality
Register multiple VOIP Providers
Price is right for an expandable VOIP based ATA and handset

Cons -
Handset Interface and Features are a mess to use - Siemens could learn something from other cordless handset manufactures
Vcard contact import is a nightmare
Can't seem to remove internal Gigaset setting/provider
Web interface is acceptable If you do the upgrade... if not it is so slow you can' use it.
No Headset Jack (are you kidding me?)

I want to like it... but not quite prime time.

Cisco SPA941 4-line IP Phone with 1-port Ethernet Review

(More customer reviews)I put together two Asterisk servers for two businesses, and bought several of the SPA941 phones.I looked at Grandstream products, and read reviews, and bought one, but they are basically cheap crud in comparison.This SPA941 series is a solid business phone that works well... the cheaper competitors feel like cheap plastic (they are), and have all kinds of operational issues working with Asterisk.I'm basically a fan of this product.

On the down side, I have had trouble getting and installing the 2-to-4 line upgrade.Be aware that this is only a 2-line phone, even though it has 4-line buttons.
