(More customer reviews)I have owned five of these phones (each purchased with an extra battery) for a year and can not recommend them, for these reasons:
1. Line of sight range was only ~1.5km, not the 8 km claimed.This is under ideal conditions over a stretch of remote beach.
2. They are quite heavy and run *very* hot--are uncomfortable to use.
3. Seven of the ten batteries have already failed, suggesting that the charger design is no good.New batt's are $50 each!
In the same period under the same conditions my Panasonic Multitalk-8 system has been flawless, and those phones cost half as much, in fact just a bit more for the whole phone than the Engenius *batteries*.

Cisco-Linksys Wireless-G Bridge for phone adapters WBP54G Review

(More customer reviews)I was extremely hesitant in getting this because I worried that voice lag would be created by the semi-complicated setup we have.

To give some background:
We have 3 cordless phones around our house that talk to a central base station that is plugged into a wall jack. Elsewhere in the house, we have Linksys PAP2 device (Vonage Service) that one end plugs into the wall (backfeeding to the phone base station), and the other half was plugged into our home router.

For those Visual People:
Cordless Phone > Phone Base Station > House Wiring > PAP2 > Router > Cable Modem > Vonage

My concern was that by inserting a Wireless Bridge between the PAP2 and the Router (which is now on the other side of the house), that a delay would be created, or the signal would occasionally just drop.

I am happy to say that I completely over thought the complications of it.

When the device came, I followed the setup wizard on the CD (didn't bother with the picture book type printed instructions) and had the bridge configured in about 15 minutes. I then moved the PAP2 and Bridge to where I needed them, and plugged it in...and like magic, everything worked great. We've had no lag, no problems, and most importantly, no signal drops.

While wired is still the most reliable method to make sure your VoiP phone device talks to your network consistently, I would definitely recommend this device to anyone who has to take the wireless route.

(More customer reviews)I am sure this is a fine product deserving a high rating but more info is needed before one purchases this phone. The lack of info at this site gets it a 3 rating. I came out on Amazon to order a phone to use in my home office. I was looking at Panasonic phones and the KX-T7731B appeared to be perfect. It has all the features anyone would want and the price was reasonable. Even though I found the description on Amazon, the site told me that my order would come through ANTOnline.(Today when I came out to write this it says that Amazon sells the phone.) I read the description and I purchased the phone. When I received the phone I discovered that it is NOT a stand alone phone but one that needs to be part of a PBX system. Nowhere on the site under description or technical details does it say that. So I was forced to try to return it to ANTOnline. Their procedure is to send an e-mail and get permission to return it. You are to receive some type of Reference number before you can return it and they make you fill out a questionaire with vaque questions about the conditions of the packaging. If you answer any question wrong based on the condition the returned item is in when received from you they will assume you are lying and not give you a credit at all. It is unclear if you would get the merchendise back. They are trying to ascertain if they will be able to resale the phones or not. If you send it back in peek condition they still will deduct a 15% restocking charge. On the ANTOnline site their description of the phone does mention that it is not a stand alone. Amazons site does not. The point is, check multiple sites not only for price comparisons but also for technical details so that you can be sure of what you're getting. I am still waiting for the reference number so that I can send it back. That number will come via e-mail.
Update 9/18/07 - I was able to get my refund for this Phone minus the restocking fee.

The sound quality is poor; I have to tell callers to lower their voice or they sound distorted.This phone is used as an extension in one of my bedrooms; so I'll keep it but it's just for convenience sake so I can answer the phone if it rings while I'm in that room. This phone is not made for long conversations. I guess you get what you pay for when you buy a $10.00 phone.

(More customer reviews) I just got the Samsung Yepp and I think it's a great player.From the moment you open the box it definitely has that "touch me, feel me" look to it.This thing is very very small (smaller than Iexpected from pictures on the web), I'd say about the size of a deck ofcards.You can easily "palm" it in your hand, and it weighsalmost NOTHING (I hardly notice it when it's in my pocket, I think it'slighter than my wallet).This certainly beats carrying around a discmanand a caselogic.
The sound quality is excellent (The earbuds that comewith it are okay, but I prefer my Sony Fontopias).The controls areintuitive, and the PC interface software is easy to use (Make sure to getthe newest version from the samsung website).The voice recorder isdefinitely a nice bonus; it's great for recording lectures in class.Idon't use the phonebook feature b/c I have a Palm Pilot, but that's also anice feature.
My only reservations are that:
It only plays MP3 format,unlike other players which also support RMA, WMA, etc.
There's nobacklighting for the LCD.
No USB yet (but due out soon).
If you candeal without these extras for now, this player is for you.If you shoparound, you can find this player a lot cheaper than any other player outthere.

(More customer reviews)What I like most about this phone is that it uses 2 AAA batteries (rechargeable included). The battery in my previous phone would die every year and its cost was ~17$ (almost half the price of a new phone).

Pros: Very good voice quality (also with the speaker), easy to use answering machine, light weight, 5.8G doesn't interfere with my wireless.

Cons: none so far.
