(More customer reviews)I've used the boom headsets for about 3 years now. I've used two different types (1.) the one featured on this page (2) a variation of this one with a wrap around head band. First let me say when using these headsets most people never know I'm on my cell. The quality of incoming & outgoing audio is excellent. I made a conference call in downtown NY and didn't have the 1st complaint of outside noise. You want find better audio quality. Now, the major problem, the cord is weak. They use a thin gauge and doesn't hold up very well or least for someone that travel a lot. I've emailed and talked with the company about this and they were nice enough and listened.

Overall, i would still recommend it for anyone that has to make business call traveling. Just treated it with kit gloves.

(More customer reviews)I recently got an Iphone and realized that my E3Cs didn't fit into the recessed jack of the iPhone.I was 100% happy that this adapter existed:

Pros:
a) it allowed me to use my great Shure E3Cs with the Iphone and,
b) it allowed me to take calls
c) it has a button which allows me to take calls in phone mode or pause the iPhone when in iPod mode.
d) when I'm in iPod mode and the phone rings the volume gently lowers and the phone rings -- I can click the button by the microphone to answer and when I'm done talking, I can press the button by the microphone again and I go back to my music - very convenient.
d) with both shure earplugs in you can take calls in extremely noisy environments and you will hear all of the conversation (your caller sounds like they're in a recording studio)Cons:
a) like others have noted, the cord becomes very long and complex to manage.Lets just say I resorted to rubber bands which is not very trendy.

b) if you take a call in extremely noisy environment and both earplugs are in, you'll hear everything but parties will keep asking you if you can hear them bc they'll hear the noise through the microphone (I tell them not to worry and that I can hear them great with my Shure earplugs).

Why the 5 stars?Because it works very well and solved the core of my problem of using my E3Cs with my iPhone.Thanks for having this Shure!

I couldn't find this at stores but one quick search at Amazon found it and I had it in my hands the next day.Thanks Amazon!

(More customer reviews)I bought this phone last year because of it's functionality.The cordless headset is great for multitasking, and you can use it in tandem with the handset to dial/switch between the two/etc.It's not quite as all-in-one as my old IBM FADS-900 (dialpad on the headset), but it's also much lighter.

Now the bad: the headset is made of rigid plastic, and my broke several months in.A home phone goes through a lot so you might expect it to break.It looks like it will bea challenge to solder back the wires and glue it back together.
The other flaw I've found is that sometimes it says "initializing" and you can't answer the phone.I'm not sure if this has every happened mid-call, but I have had occasions where I couldn't answer a call.

All in all, the price is half of what you'd pay for a comparable Avaya headset, so it's not to be ignored.

Plantronics HL10 Handset Lifter Review

(More customer reviews)I use the Plantronics Voyager 500A, which is great.The handset lifter is an obvious fit so you don't have to lift the receiver from the cradle each time.However, if you are using the RCA Executive Series - 4 line phone, or for that matter any phone hand set that does not have a high arch, the "Lifter" can not fit under the handset.The handset will not sit in the cradle or slides off the cradle.The added extender arm that comes with the Lifter does not cure the problem.I had to send the unit back for a refund.Great idea though, but know that is will not well or at all on such phones.

When I adjusted the switch for microphone volume, my callers could hear me fine, but my local AM radio station was bleeding through loud and clear. Idemonstrated it to the Amazon return technician on the phone and he wasflabbergasted and agreed right away to give me a full refund, includingpre-paid shipping.
I will certainly consider buying a more expensivemodel and I will definitely buy it from Amazon. They are great to workwith.

These headsets are not all that great for music or gaming. They have good overall sound reproduction, very clear across all frequencies but they lack punch. They do just fine when used for TV shows, some movies and casual music.

The main reason I got them is for Skype, since they have a great mic. There is no way a person on the other end can tell it is a VOIP call.

The other issue being, they feel like they are pressing against your ears and you will start adjusting them again and again after a while and that becomes irritating.

For: Skype, TV Shows, Casual Music

Not For: Bass, Serious music lovers & gamers

All are great, but this is the best so far at less than half the cost of the last one. I have this one on a Vtech phone with the volume on the headset at the lowest level and the volume on the Vtech at the lowest setting and everything is loud and clear for me and for person I am speaking to... on land lines and wireless phones. It is very comfortable to wear unlike the other two Plantronics I own. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED at twice the price.

(More customer reviews)I received the AT&T TL7600 Wireless Headset and promptly registered it to my At&T Dect 6.0 phone system.Great product!!My wife loved the quality of the sound, and especially the "hands free" operation.She also like the "over the head" holder.She found it comfortable & convenient to wear.

My problem was the design of the electronics.Once registered, this headset can not be reset independently from the base it is registered to.My AT&T phone system base failed / died. I was not able to un-register the headset from the "dead" base.I returned the original phone system for a replacement, but now the headset TL7600 was still registered to the defunct system and could not be reset.I could not register it to the new phone base/system. I contacted AT&T techical support, and they could only ship me out a new headset.

If I had bought a AT&T wireless headset #TL7610, I would have been able to reset the headset through the available program buttons mounted on the re-charger base.That would have saved me from returning my original purchased headset.

I now have a new TL7600, replacing the original, and programed to my newest phone system / base.I hope the base of this phone system does not fail, or I will have to go through the exchange process again (provided it happens during the first 30 days of exchange opportunity).If the base of the phone system dies after 30 days... I'm not sure of my options.

(More customer reviews)Bought this to add a 4th handset to my KX-TG5633. Initially, after reading the technical specs for the 5633 at the Panasonic website, I wasn't certain that the 560 would work with my system; the Pana website says "Multi Handset Compatability: up to 3 handsets". "Did the 3 include the base handset too," I wondered? Yet the amazon info for the 5633 suggested that it could take 4 handsets. After digging out and consulting the 5633's manual, I was satisfied that I could take a 4th handset and ordered.

After receiving the 560, I was pleased to see the back of its box listed graphically all the systems that it would work with and also numerous ones that it would NOT work with. I've scanned the back of the box and posted it as one of the customer product images. Hopefully this will save you a lot of time in figuring out whether the 560 handset works for you.

Otherwise, it was easy to integrate with the rest of the system. Open box, insert battery, let charge overnight, hit the "register" button on the system base until it says "H4" (handset 4), hit the OK button on the 560 and you're good to go.

(More customer reviews)When in my home office, I am on the phone 5-7 hours a day.I have tried many combinations of phones and headsets and have never been satisfied with the voice quality.I also run a wireless network and have had problems in the past with 2.4 Ghz phones causing interference.The Plantronics CT12 is the answer to all my problems:
* portable - small belt unit is light, offers great battery life and includes all the features I need
* great headset - sound quality is equal to that of a handset (people do not know you are on a headset); comfortable with two fit options, Firefly function is nice bonus
* Caller-ID - included on belt unit, works as expected
* 2.4 Ghz - range is good, does not cause interference with my wireless network (previous phones from Panasonic and others have)
Only negative is that you cannot answer or otherwise use the phone while it is charging (must remove the belt unit from the charger).All in all, highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)I don't get it.First I bought the AT&T 992, regardless of the bad reviews, because I've always liked the sound and feel of AT&T phones. Unfortunately, right out of the box, that phone didn't work.(You can read my review entitled: Great If You Don't Need The Number 9!)I returned it, thinking I might just get another one, but decided to try this RCA instead.

I like the features and the design of this phone, and setup was quick and simple. So, what's the problem? No one can hear me.That's right, the handset doesn't work . . . nothing, not a peep. I tried plugging in an old handset and that worked but was incredibly distorted. I then discovered that, if I yell really loudly, you can sort of hear my distored voice through the RCA handset. I tried changing cables but it just doesn't work.

The handset is much lighter and flimsier than the AT&T but, on the AT&T the number 9 didn't work.Why is it so hard to get a little quality control?

I haven't decided if I'm going to give RCA or AT&T another chance. I want a corded, 2-line, phone with Caller ID and no answering machine. I want individual volume controls for both lines and, I don't think it's too much to ask, I want to be able to speak on the phone AND use the number 9.

My alarm contractor suggested that I save my money and by several AT&T 854/954 phones (both models are basically the same phone). It haspaging and intercom, conference calling, call transfer etc. Everything thatthe expensive systems have... without the high cost. I have these all overmy house and I love this system; especially the paging - I hate having togo upstairs to tell my daughter that she has a phone call! I highlyrecommend buying several (two or more) of these phones over an expensivephone system. It does the same thing for a lot less. Note, however, onedifference is that with these phones, you need an AC plug for each unit; ona system you don't. The only draw-back, but if you can live with that minordifference, you'll save yourself over $1000 compared to a professionalsystem.

AT&T TL7610 DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Headset (Silver/Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this headset to replace a corded one that plugged into my cordless phone. I kept having to replace the corded one because the cord would snag on things when I moved around, and the cord would eventually die. The corded ones were costing me about $25 each. This headset was a lot more expensive, but it is so much better in every way. All of the corded headsets I used had volume problems- 2 just weren't loud enough, and the one that was was just barely so. This headset has a volume control on it, and it is loud enough for me when set about medium. The headset is not cumbersome- no cord to catch on things or come unplugged. I use the headband style attachment, and find it very comfortable. There are several earpieces included and I think that most people would find an option to suit them. I have an older house which is quite solidly constructed. It's hard to hear someone calling out from the other end of the house, even though it's just a 1400 sq ft ranch house. I wondered if reception would be a problem if I got too far from the base, but I have had no problems with that, inside or outside the house. No interference when passing by computers, our Tivo, or the microwave, either. I think this headset will last a long time, and for me it was well worth the higher price. I wondered if I was going to want the lifter or keypad accessories, but have found the headset works fine as is. I wouldn't buy it as a replacement for a second phone, though, as it obviously lacks any way to check caller ID or dial out. I dial on a cordless handset,then put on the headset and turn it on. You can actually turn the handset off, then, I think, but then you won't have caller ID or any way to "flash" to a 2nd call if one comes in, so I leave the handset on. I do have to be careful to remember to turn the handset off when I hang up. I wondered if I had to have AT&T phones to use this headset, but this headset works fine with my Panasonic phones.
